NCEA Announces Coaches of the Year and Team Sportsmanship Awards

WACO, Texas – The National Collegiate Equestrian Association announced the 2021 Coaches of the Year and Team Sportsmanship awards.

Georgia head coach Meghan Boenig was named the 2021 USEF NCEA Coach of the Year after leading the Bulldogs to a national championship. Georgia defeated SMU 9-7 to garner the 2021 crown. This is Boenig’s first time to earn the accolade.

Earning the title of Jumping Seat coach of the Year is Georgia’s Anna Becker after leading her squad to the national championship.

Garnering the title of Western Coach of the Year is SMU’s McKenzie Lantz who led her team to the national championship for the first time in program history.

Rounding out the awards is Baylor earning the Team Sportsmanship award.
