Friday at A Sudden Impulse at World Equestrian Center – Ocala, Natalie Hudson and Zippin A Breeze scored 233.50 to win the $2000 NSBA 14-18 Youth Trail for $650, and they were champions in the Limited Rider division, to the tune of another $1000 in winnings.
Natalie says that “Danny” is an incredible horse and is definitely turning into a great trail horse. “He’s so much fun – in the beginning it was a little rocky, but he’s becoming a great horse, and I’m very grateful to have the opportunity to show him.”
When asked about her strategy to navigate and plan such a tough course, she explains she always walks it first to plan it, and “I like to watch the Senior goes because they had about the same course,” she says, which enables her to visualize her pattern, then she warms up and gives him some scratches before they go in.
Danny loves his scratches, especially under his pad or under his bands, she says, and the bond between the two as she finds his best spot is evident.
How does she like WEC? It’s not her first time here, but she says, “I love this facility. There’s nothing like it, and it’s beautiful!”
Congratulations to this lovely and gracious team! We can’t wait to see more of you together!
