The first of the Western Pleasure Super Sires futurity classes has taken place at the 2019 Tom Powers Futurity that’s currently underway in Berrien Springs, Michigan.
Nancy Ditty was at the lead of A Cowboy For You (VS Code Blue X Huntin For A Cowboy) to win the WPSS Longe Line class and a check for $5,000 for Stanley and Susan Scott. In addition, the pair received a Super Sires halter and hat from Just Stitch It, slinky, longe line, Rowdy Silver Champion buckle, Nutrena Feed coupons, Rod Patrick boots, and Enviro Equine Goodies.
The Reserve Champion was Jessica Wazuy with Dun Lopin (The Lopin Machine x Gotta Hot Mouse), who won $2,730 for Dennis and Karen Reifsnyder. This team also received a Super Sires halter and hat from Just Stitch It, longe whip, Nutrena Feed, and Enviro Equine Goodies. Third was Mallory Vroegh with The Solitaire Affair (The Rock X Presidential Affair) who won $1,995 for Brent Walker. They also received a Super Sires halter and hat from Just Stitch It, Nutrena Feed, and Enviro Equine Goodies. Fourth was Terry Robinson with Capitol Gain (The Rock X Aint She A Flert), who won $1,365, as well as a Super Sires halter and hat from Just Stitch It and Enviro Equine Goodies for Dennis Robinson.
Fifth place was a tie between Donald Hagen and Extremely Hot Goji (Extremely Hot Chips x Miss Hot Machine) for Jennifer Hagen and Rebecca Smiecinski with Shez Plenty Southern (Its A Southern Thing x All Good N Plenty). They both received $997.50, Super Sires halter and hat from Just Stitch It, and Enviro Equine Goodies. Seventh was Jaida Dreyer with Money Gate (The Lopin Machine X RL Essence), who won $840, Super Sires halter and hat from Just Stitch It, and Enviro Equine Goodies.
Eighth was Kurt Heling with Rock N Motion (The Rock X Divalicious), who won $630, Super Sires halter and hat from Just Stitch It, and Enviro Equine Goodies. Ninth was a tie between Traci McDavitt with All A Sudden Lopin (The Lopin Machine X RL Suddenly Rich) and Danita Drake with Rock One Seven (The Rock X Zippin and Zoomin). Both received $472.50, a Super Sires halter and hat from Just Stitch It, and Enviro Equine Goodies.
The total payout for the event was $15,300.
