Following on the heels of a successful first day of competition on Wednesday at the 2018 March To The Arch in St. Louis, Missouri, a number of big winners were named in NSBA Futurity classes during last night’s main event.
In the $7,500 3 and Over Novice Horse Western Pleasure, Angie Rigdon Cannizzaro rode The Production Line to win $4,207.50 for Mary Jo and Dwain Gold. The Reserve Champion was Casey Willis with KM Thenextbestthing, winning $3,341.25 for Masterson Farms, LLC. Third place was Andy Cochran with I Know Whats Best, winning $2,475 for Capital Quarter Horses, LLC. Fourth was Denton Debuhr with Born A Hot Loper, winning $1,237.50 for Bill and Cindy Cosentino.
Fifth was Mallory Menard with Just Plain Sleepy, winning $1,113.75. Tying for sixth was Cleve Wells with Mister White, for Linda Ball Sargent, and Rebecca Hurst with Made So Innocent, for Pinnacle Quarter. Tying for eighth was Joshua Brown with Lazy Lopin Moonlight, for Dana Smith, and Pat Heeley with VS Life Support, for Francesca Wierda. Tenth was Brian Cox with KM Best N Slow for Tammy Conroy.
In the $7,500 Added Open Horse Western Pleasure Intermediate Division, Denton Debuhr rode Born A Hot Loper to win $1,000 for owners, Bill and Cindy Cosentino. The Reserve Champion was Mallory Menard with Just Plain Sleepy. Third was Rebeca Hurst with Made So Innocent for Pinnacle Quarter. Fourth was Joshua Brown with Lazy Lopin Moonlight for Dana Smith.
In the $7,500 Added Open Horse Western Pleasure Limited Division, Mallory rode Just Plain Sleepy to win $1,000. The Reserve Champion was Rebecca Hurst with Made So Innocent. Third was Joshua Brown with Lazy Lopin Moonlight.
In the $500 3 and 4-Year-Old Hunter Under Saddle, the champion was Lynda Danielson with Hoos At The Girls, winning $327 for Robyn and Emma Garcia. The Reserve Champion was Alyse Roberts with Al Les in Wonderland, winning $248 for Starland Ranch, LLC. Third was Laura Spell with Its All In The Timing for Jill Stenroos.
