Dr. Glenn Blodgett of Guthrie, Texas, was elected the 2015-16 American Quarter Horse Association president in March at the 2015 AQHA Convention. Soon after he was elected, he sat down with AQHA staff to explain some of his main goals and initiatives that he would like to focus on during his presidency.
“I was very humbled and honored to be asked if I was interested to run,” said Dr. Blodgett. “And if they (the past presidents and board of directors) felt I could have a positive impact, I was willing to give it a shot.”
“I feel like I have the best job in the world here,” said Dr. Blodgett. “I think a lot of this organization, and it means a lot to me.”
Dr. Blodgett went on to say, “I hope I can serve the industry well as president.”
