Phelps Media Group press release
The opportunity to watch or ride under renowned horsewoman Lynn Palm is a valuable one, and at the Florida Gold Coast and Gulf Coast Quarter Horse Circuits, attendees will have that opportunity presented to them.
The Florida Gold Coast Quarter Horse Circuit will be held December 27 – 31, 2014 at the Bob Thomas Equestrian Center within the Florida State Fairgrounds, and on Monday, December 29, Palm and her husband, Cyril Pittion-Rossillon, will present a Western Dressage demonstration for all in attendance. The demonstration is compliments of the Florida Gold Coast Circuit.
Immediately following the conclusion of the Florida Gold Coast Circuit, the five-day Florida Gulf Coast Circuit kicks off on January 1, 2015 and continues through January 5. During this second circuit, Palm and Pittion-Rossillion will offer a Western Dressage Clinic. Participants must register by January 1, 2015 to ride in the clinic for a small fee, and participation spaces are limited. The opportunity to audit at no cost is presented compliments of the Florida Gulf Coast Circuit.
For more information on both the demonstration and the clinic or to reserve a space in the clinic, please call 941-484-4687 or email Medmond333@aol.com.
Few clinicians today can match Lynn Palm’s proven performance record as an all-around trainer, showman, exhibitor and entrepreneur. Palm’s riding career began in a dressage saddle, and dressage became the backbone of her training and success with Quarter Horses in multiple disciplines. Palm is a strong promoter of Quarter Horses in traditional dressage and was instrumental in gaining AQHA approval for dressage. Now, Palm is proud to share dressage principles for western horses and riders in the newest and hottest western discipline: western dressage.
Palm’s various accomplishments include 34 AQHA World and Reserve World Championships, 8 AQHA High Point Dressage Awards, 5 USDF AQHA All Breed Award Winners, 20 USDF Regional Qualifiers, 4 Western Dressage Association of America World Championships, serving as a 2010 World Equestrian Games clinician, entertainer and Western Dressage presenter and as a 2014 Western Dressage Specialist clinician at Equitana Melbourne.
Pittion-Rossillon hails from Paris, France where he earned his Riding Master Degree from the French National Equestrian School in Saumur. Pittion-Rossillon also values dressage as the basis for all of his training, and lightness and harmony are what he strives to achieve with his instruction and training.
Pittion-Rossillon trained under members of the French Olympic team and competed on the French Junior Jumper Circuit. He is a youth & amateur coach for AQHA, a USEF, USDF and Western Dressage competition co-trainer and a coach of AQHA High Point Dressage. He is also a USDF All Breed Award Winners, the coach of Western Dressage Association of America World Champions and Western Dressage Association of Florida State Champions.
The Florida Gold Coast and Florida Gulf Coast Quarter Horse Circuits are honored to welcome them both.
In addition to the Palm and Pittion-Rossillon Western Dressage clinic and demonstration, the two weeks of horse shows will include other special events such as the $2,000 Collection Hunter Classic, the $1,000 Hunter Pairs Stake, several NSBA Stakes and 100 percent jackpots, additional clinics, exhibitor parties and more.
