Longtime AQHA competitor and judge Jennifer Lisson, based in San Angelo, Texas, is spearheading a tutoring program for foster children, which recently was approved to move to a statewide reach.

The WHIT Program is a free service that addresses the educational needs of foster children, and was approved by Child Protective Services to expand to other Texas cities.

The program was created in 2021 after Jennifer noticed a lack of help for foster children while she was volunteering as a Court Appointed Special Advocate at the city’s Children’s Advocacy Center.

Jennifer is the founder and president of The WHIT Program, and in part it recognizes the memory of her daughter, Whitney, who died in a 2011 car accident.

Jennifer has served as a judge for 20 years, and served on several AQHA committees. She is also a past trainer and competitor.
