LIVE From the Keystone Showdown With Kelly Rauschenbach

The Keystone Showdown started off with a bang with their Novice Show on June 14th! The number one Novice Show in the country for three years running did not disappoint with over 630 total entries. There were 21 states represented, as well as entries out of Canada. The largest class of the day was Novice Youth Showmanship with 40 entries.

Throughout the show, several random drawing awards were given out, which included a show pad donated by Just Peachy, which was won by Cheryl Runk and two $50 gift cards for Spur of the Moment Tack, which were won by Christina Topor-Burns and Bobby Canady. The Keystone Showdown Novice Show also offered rookie classes as well as EWD classes in all divisions, which were enjoyed by many.

image16The High Point and Reserve High Point winners were given beautiful bronze trophies, and the winners are as follows:

Novice Youth
Champion- Katie Gillespie with Retreva Blue
Reserve- Kylie Marie Good with Maximum Invitation

Novice Amateur
Champion- Christina Topor-Burns with RL A Lucky Sudden
Reserve- Elizabeth Breene with Notice Her Moves

Rookie Youth
Champion- Khylee Lynn Maglione with Certain To Be Good
Reserve- Katie Gillespie with Retreva Blue

Rookie Amateur
Champion- Nicole L Bell with Only Mist Once
Reserve- Diana M Ginitz with Jessica Jack Bar

Small Fry
Champion- Tyler J Brooks with Dangerous Famous
Reserve- Alexandra Rippeon with Terms Are Sonny

EWD
Champion- Nina Genitz with Jessica Jack Bar
Reserve- Tanner Hillabaugh with Intoxicating

The Keystone Showdown continues through June 18th in Centre Hall, PA, providing competitors with the opportunity to accumulate five sets of points in four days. An estimated $45,000+ will be awarded in the form of cash, prizes, and awards. There will be Money Bag classes, a Skeeter Saddle giveaway, a Yeti Cooler giveaway, 12 show pads sponsored by Just Peachy Show Clothing, 20x felt hats for Novice High Point, $2,000 Kelly Herd gift cards, and Blue Ribbon show headstalls. There is also $500 added in the Open Trail Shootout and $500 added in the Non Pro Trail Shootout.image10

Judges for the Novice Show were Kimberly Leitner and Rick Christy. Judges for the reminder of the show will include Murray Griggs, Jill Newcomb, Dolly Chayer, April Devitt, and Casey Devitt.
