The sun is definitely shining on the 2017 Arizona Sun Circuit. The classes are big and exhibitors have traveled from all over the United States to compete at one of the largest horse shows of the year. The stall count is up 200 stalls from last year.
Our names are Courtney Archer and Merrick Aguero, and we’re super excited to be blogging from the 2017 Arizona Sun Circuit. Stay tuned as the week goes on for up to date information and stories live from Scottsdale, AZ.
Day 1 of showing kicked off in full force in Scottsdale with huge Halter classes. After the Open Performance Halter Geldings, exhibitors were able to participate in a foot race with their Halter horses from one side of the arena to the other to win a pair of Rod Patrick Boots and wining that pair of boots was Troy Lehn.
The Western Pleasure classes were underway in The Equine Chronicle arena where the Level 2 Sr Western Pleasure got to do a race on horseback with a glass of wine in hand. Whoever made it around the arena with the most left in their glass won a 50′ flat screen TV. The winner was Mark Jensen.
After the Select Hunt Seat Equation, exhibitors got to do a Hippity Hop Horse Race for a pair of Rod Patrick Boots!
Stay tuned in The Equine Chronicle arena for more Hunt Seat classes.
