Arizona Sun Circuit, March 4-12, is quickly approaching and it is shaping up to be huge. AZQHA CEO Doug Huls commented from WestWorld on Tuesday, “This may be one of the largest stall counts in Sun Circuit’s history. We have added several barns to accommodate exhibitors.” Incredible weather is forecasted for the duration of the show, with temps from 75 to 85 degrees every day. For the first time, Sun Circuit will utilize the two new indoor, climate-controlled arenas in the North Hall along with the Equidome and nine other arenas. From Roping to Jumping, everyone has a place, and there will be a lot of action every day.
The show boasts over $70,000 in added money this year and over $50,000 in giveaways. The extraordinarily popular giveaways can be completely random, or sometimes involve a fun challenge. There are giveaways in every level and age group, so anyone can go home a winner. Exhibitors will also be vying for one of 36 Champion saddle awards, and Level 1 exhibitors have a shot at custom crafted Champion rings from Sami Fine Jewelry.
A number of crowd pleasing events highlight the schedule including the $15,000 added DT Horses Roping Futurity and the $20,000 added Smart Boons Fence Work Challenge. Tuesday offers the Hunter Derby and a day of NSBA futurities. Exhibitors can hang around in the evenings and catch the Parada Del Sol Rodeo. March 9th Bull Riding roars into the Equidome and Rodeo Performances will be held March 10, 11, and 12. Exhibitors and guests can buy tickets at SunCircuit.com.
The move to March was good for vendors too. Everyone was anticipating a big exhibitor crowd along with larger numbers of spectators this year. The Sun Circuit shopping expo has filled the available space in South Hall, and a couple dozen more vendors will be set up around the Equine Chronicle Arena. “We sold out our vendor spaces,” Huls added.
