Judges and Schedule Released for 2018 AQHA Versatility Ranch Horse World

The American Quarter Horse Association has announced the judges for the 2018 Zoetis AQHA Versatility Ranch Horse World Championships, Zoetis AQHA Ranching Heritage Challenge Finals and AQHA Level 1 Cattle Championships.

“Our goal is to bring together an excellent roster of judges for these championship shows,” said Pete Kyle, AQHA chief show officer. “It is important for exhibitors to know they are being judged by the rules and by a highly qualified group of judges at each show.”

The individuals selected as the 2018 judges are:

Bobby Hunt, Comfort, Texas
Debbie Cooper, Cave Creek, Arizona
Chele McGauley, Elm Grove, Louisiana
Chris Benedict, Weatherford, Texas
Buddy Fisher, Abilene, Texas
John Briggs, Pilot Point, Texas
Delena Doyle, Azle, Texas

The 2018 Zoetis VRH World, Zoetis Ranching Heritage Challenge Finals and Level 1 Cattle Championships are June 13-17 at Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma.

The Zoetis AQHA Versatility Ranch Horse World Championships and Zoetis AQHA Ranching Heritage Challenge Finals are tentatively scheduled for June 13-17, 2018, at the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, Oklahoma.

The tentative schedule for the Zoetis VRH World and Zoetis Ranching Heritage Finals is now available at www.aqha.com/versatility

Exhibitors are able to qualify to compete for the all-around Versatility Ranch Horse title or in the individual VRH classes at the 2018 Zoetis VRH World. The qualifying period is January 1, 2017 – February 28, 2018.

Additionally, the owner of the highest-placing RHB horse at the VRH World Show will receive $250 and a specially created ranch horse trophy, and the breeder also will receive $250.

To become eligible for the 2018 Zoetis AQHA Ranching Heritage Challenge Finals, Challenge-enrolled horses must have competed in at least one of the six Ranching Heritage Challenges in 2017. For more information about the Zoetis AQHA Ranching Heritage Challenges, visit www.aqha.com/ranching.
