Join the Mississippi Quarter Horse Association for their Remaining Shows of 2024 Season

Mississippi Quarter Horse Association:

Our last two shows for the 2024 show year are approaching.

September 13, 14, & 15, our Fall Classic will be held in Meridian, MS at the Lauderdale County Agri Center. The 13th of September will be a full lineup of VRH events with VRH cattle in all divisions, but no cutting. AQHA cattle classes for Working Cowhorse and Boxing will also be held. The 14 & 15 of September will have the regular all-around classes and AQHA ranch classes. Our youth activity, a bowling tournament, will be held on Friday. Random prize drawings will be held through the weekend, and new member incentives will be given out.

Our last show for the 2024 show year will be the Amateur’s Autumn Fest scheduled for October 12, 13 & 14 and will also be held at the Lauderdale County Agri Center in Meridian, MS. The Friday of the show will have a full lineup of VRH events will have VRH cattle in all divisions, but no VRH cutting. We will also have AQHA Working CowHorse and Boxing.

The remainder of the weekend will have halter, showmanship, trail, horsemanship, western pleasure, western riding, and ranch classes. The kids will be Trick or Treating the entire weekend. High point awards will be available for all categories: VRH Rookie Youth, Rookie Amateur, Ltd Youth, Ltd Amateur, Amateur Youth and Open, as well as Small Fry, Youth Walk Trot, Amateur Walk Trot, L1 Youth, L1 Amateur, Amateur, Amateur Select, Youth & Open. For the first time, the Amateur show will host High Point awards for our Ranch classes in Youth, Amateur & Open categories.

MQHA President Tom McBeath says, “We are thankful for attendance at our shows and we look forward to seeing old friends and new at these two shows. Each of the shows will offer Trainer Thank You Gifts to show our appreciation of their support of our shows. The shows will have three judges per show and our wonderful staff will make for great weekend events.
