The Appaloosa Horse Club will host its 56th Annual Chief Joseph Trail Ride, August 2-6, 2021. Riders will ride up to 25 miles each day through this historic landscape. The area is primarily National forest with an abundance of trees, rolling hills, steep terrain, rocky trails and is a virtual showcase of the beautiful inland Northwest.
Our experienced camp crew prepares delicious daily meals. There is nightly entertainment, historical speakers and camp is bustling with Appaloosas and their riders.
Due to ongoing trail and road repair by the USFS, riders will camp the first two nights at April Creek gravel pit. Camp will be moved on Tuesday and riders will ride in and out of Musselshell Meadows camp for the remainder of the ride. Because these camp sites are large, riders can stay in the comfort of their own trailers (no length restrictions) or can choose to tent camp.
Saddle up your horse and come enjoy the ride of your life! The ApHC is now accepting applications online for the Chief Joseph Trail Ride. For additional information on this year’s ride, click here.
