Jason Martin Sweeps Jr. and Sr. Western Riding Divisions at 2013 Congress With Dunit On The Range and Heavenly Mac

This evening’s western riding festivities concluded in spectacular style for the men of Highpoint Performance Horses here at the 2013 All American Quarter Horse Congress. Jason Martin swept both the Junior and Senior divisions of the class, first with Dunit On The Range for Jane Humes and then once again with Heavenly Mac for Knapp Quarter Horse Farms LC.

Martin scored an outstanding 237 1/2 to win the Congress Championship title aboard Heavenly Mac in Senior Western Riding. Coming in Reserve in the class was Charlie Cole with Ima Petite Classic scoring a 236. Martin found himself in third place with his other mount, Vitals Signs Are Good, scoring a 235 1/2. The husband and wife team of Jim and Deanna Searles placed fourth and fifth, respectively, with More Radical for Katherine Tobin and Heza Radical Zip for Susan Johns with a 233 and 232.

Coming in Reserve in the Junior Western Riding, behind Martin and Dunit On The Range, was Michael Colvin with KM Zip Me Suddenly. Reid Thomas rounded out the top three with Huntin By Moonlite. Fourth place was Bruce Vickery with Strawberri Wine. Brett Clark found himself in fifth place with A Sudden Illusion.

But the dynamic Charlie and Jason duo didn’t stop there. They both competed in Junior Pleasure Driving today as well. Cole claimed a Reserve Congress Championship in Junior Pleasure Driving with It’s Been Awhile for Natasha Blanchard. Martin placed sixth in the class with Hoo Loves Ya Baby for Emily Cramer.
