The American Quarter Horse Association is proud to host the inaugural Ranch Horse Classic during the 2024 Nutrena AQHA and Adequan Select World Championship Shows, which is also the 50th anniversary of the AQHA World Show. The Ranch Horse Classic is slated for 6 p.m. on November 9 in the Jim Norick Arena at the OKC Fairgrounds in Oklahoma City.

The Ranch Horse Classic will offer a minimum of $50,000 in added money. As an added bonus, Ranching Heritage-bred horses will also be automatically eligible for an additional side pot.

American Quarter Horses ages ranging 3 to 5 years old are eligible and exhibitors of all ages and experiences are welcome to participate including youth and amateur riders. Horses will be shown sequentially in ranch riding, ranch trail and ranch cow work.

Entries for the event will be available with the Nutrena AQHA World Show entries later this fall. For entering:

  • The event is limited to 20 entries.
  • An owner may enter one horse in this event.
  • A rider may enter one horse and the same rider will show the horse in all three portions.
  • Entry priority will be given to horses qualified to one of these AQHA Championships in 2024 – AQHA World, VRH World, RHC Finals, and/or AQHYA World.
  • Entry priority will be given to Ranching Heritage-bred horses, regardless of Ranching Heritage Challenge enrollment status.
  • A waitlist will be created for additional entries on a first come-first served basis according to date/time stamp entry is submitted.
