“It is an honor to offer this Limited Series at the Congress,” says Congress Chair Casey West. “Beth and Jim Buechler have long been familiar faces at the Congress and last year’s Congress was the last show Beth attended.”

Featuring six classes for limited riders and limited horses, the event takes place on Friday, August 1, following the two sets of Congress trail classes. The six classes are Open and Non Pro Trail-any age horse, Open and Non Pro 4-year-old and under Hunter Under Saddle and Open and Non Pro 3-year-old and under Western Pleasure.

“Sponsors: Black Hawk Coal, Jim Buechler, Beth’s daughter Michele Truxal, Russ, Joyce and Renee Conklin and Bobbitt Pleasure Horses have made it possible for us to award custom Phil Harris work saddles to the two western pleasure class champions,” per Sponsor Chair Clea Bobbitt. “Loni Rhodes, Show and Tell Blankets, has donated a custom saddle blanket for each Reserve Champion.”

“Tina Langness Performance Horses and Living Large/Julie Marweg each have donated English bridles with reins for the Champions of the two hunter under saddle classes along with leather padded halters for the Reserve Champions. Cowboy Couture, Kimberly Stewart, will be awarding the trail class Champions with custom stall banners. East Coast Show Apparel, a trade show vendor, is representing Cowboy Couture so the winners can design and place their banner order right at the Congress.”

Top ten in each class will receive a logoed stall front horsewear bag from Schneider’s and Barbara’s Custom Hats has donated a $750 random draw gift certificate for a custom hat in the Non Pro All Age Trail.

The Beth Buechler Limited Series is designed to attract exhibitors and trainers who do not generally attend World Championship shows or the Congress but are actively showing at and supporting regional and state shows. Entrants cannot have won World or Reserve World titles the previous three years in the event in which they are showing. Criteria, rules and updated sponsor lists can be found on www.kansaspainthorse.com along with all forms related to the World Wide Paint Horse Congress.

“These trainers, their clients and exhibitors are such a vital part of the Paint Horse industry and we wanted a special event just for them,” Bobbitt says.

Thanks to the additional sponsors: Jeff Fischer; Kerry House; Kegley Pleasure Horses & Trailer Sales; Brooke & Terri Ketchum; Greg, Heidi and Taylor Kokemiller and Wade Spell Show Horses. Updated lists will be published as sponsors are added.

The World Wide Paint Horse Congress would like to thank Jim Buechler, Beth’s daughter Michele Truxal, and Beth’s friends for making it possible to stage this special Limited Series event in her memory. It could not have happened without your blessing and support.

A SPECIAL THANKS to BLACK HAWK COAL COMPANY, (President, Michele Truxal) for the seed money contribution.
