Our condolences to the owner, breeder, trainer, stallion manager, and all who loved One Special Asset, a 2011 Bay Tobiano Stallion by Sacred Assets and out of Invite a Special Chip.
From Todd Olsen:
With sadness in our hearts, we had to say goodbye to One Special Asset. He is grazing on greener pastures now, no longer in pain and will be laid to rest forever on our farm at Windmill Acres. He gave us so much. He was the sweetest, most stoic stallion you could ever ask for. Even with the heartache that comes along from losing such a “special” Horse, we are incredible grateful for the gift he gave us in his offspring.
From world champions to best friends, his babies tell the story of his greatness. Their quiet demeanor, curiosity, and gentle souls are so evidently inherited from their dad. His legacy will continue through generations to come. Thank you for everyone who bred their mares to Leggs over the years. I look forward to seeing all your babies become what they were destined to be.
Many thanks, also, to my mentors from day one, I couldn’t have done this without you: Cheryl Miller, the breeder of this special boy; Charles Closser, his trainer; and too many others to even count, but a huge heartfelt thank you to everyone who made this young stallion #19 on the sire list in his too short career. To the person there for Leggs in the end, Nikole Chaffin, thank you so much for pulling out all the stops and giving him a fighting chance.
Thanks to Twin Creek Farms and staff where he spent most of his life with Theresa Rorabaugh. For the prayers from so many of you, THANK YOU!!!! His sons “One And Only Asset” and “Watch Me I’m Special” carry on the greatness he started. Thank you all again, so much. The whole OSA team appreciates you. “One Special Asset” will forever hold a special place in our hearts.
From One And Only Asset:
It is with great sadness that we give our sincerest condolences to all those who knew and loved One Special Asset.
We are so thankful for “Leggs,” who was Marshall’s sire. We are sorry to see such a promising stallion go so soon, but we know Marshall and his get will continue OSA’s legacy. It is never easy to say goodbye to a horse, especially one who meant so much to so many.
Heaven’s pastures gained another great one.
