AQHA Publicity
The American Quarter Horse Association previously released the AQHA World Show Health Protocols. Additional enhancements have been made to further protect the safety of exhibitors, attendees and staff. It is imperative to recognize there is an inherent risk of exposure to COVID-19 in any setting where people are present.
COVID-19 Resources:
COVID-19 Wristbands and Health Waiver
Even though the event is closed to the general public, those in attendance are required to wear a wristband for the duration of the show. To receive a wristband, attendees must submit a completed health acknowledgement and liability waiver to the Show Office or AQHA Booth in the Trade Show. To access the AQHA Booth, you must have a completed waiver in-hand to enter the Jim Norick Arena concourse. View the wavier.
Security Officers and AQHA Staff
AQHA has hired security officers to ensure protocols are being adhered to for the duration of the show. In the event an attendee is not following the protocols, you will be required to leave the arena and/or potentially the fairgrounds to ensure the safety of the event and protect others in attendance.
You will also see AQHA staff in the barns confirming attendees have wristbands on and are wearing facial protection properly. Additional staff will be on hand to answer any COVID-19-related questions.
Entry and Exit Protocols
There are specific entry and exit protocols for the Jim Norick, Adequan® Performance and Barn 8 arenas. These changes may affect the time it takes for you to enter the arena to watch some classes. Please make sure you are giving yourself ample amount of time to enter the arena stands before a class.
AQHA is continuing to monitor the status of the COVID-19 pandemic, and additional modifications may be made onsite. Our priority is to protect the health and welfare of our members, staff and American Quarter Horses worldwide. More updates will be available as the situation evolves at www.aqha.com/worldshow.
