The Appaloosa Museum is a repository of Native American, early settler artifacts from throughout the Northwest and holds the history of the Appaloosa horse including historic artifacts from the Appaloosa Horse Club. Located in the heart of Palouse Country, visitors come from all over the world to see and enjoy the heritage of the horse named for the region. Thanks to supporters of the Museum we have had a very successful year of displays, activities, and events and have seen a 42% increase in visitation due to an active marketing campaign.
Currently, the Appaloosa Museum is seeking funding to replace our existing display cases. Initially installed in 1979, the Museum’s primary cases continue to be used to display items. However, due to their age and current state, Museum curators must limit the items placed in the case. Following a professional assessment conducted on the status of the cases, the Museum’s Board of Directors has actively worked to adhere to the recommendations. Non-critical items are the only items able to be displayed in the existing cases due to wear and tear, settlement of glass, previously drilled holes, and the like, which are common to the cases. Displays are designed around hiding imperfections in the cases.Since our organization relies on the generosity of individuals like you, we write to ask you to consider a donation to our cause. Please visit the website www.appaloosamuseum.org to make your secure gift. We hope that you will help support our efforts. Thank you in advance for your generosity.
