Over the weekend, industry legend, Greg Whalen, was honored during the Glendale PBR for his achievement as a horseman, rodeo cowboy, patriot, and showman. Today, Greg is 88 years old.
The Whalen-Kail family dynasty began years ago when Greg Whalen met his wife, Mary, and married in 1955. They formed Blue Ribbon Farm as horse breeders, trainers, and showmen with specialities in the Halter Horse industry and rodeo world. Greg has been inducted into the AQHA Hall of Fame and the Pacific QH Association Hall Of Fame. Some famous stallions that came out of the family’s ranch include Smooth Town, Page Impressive, and Mr Yella Fella. Children and grandchildren have followed suit with Bob and Debbie Kail and Ryan and Andrea Kail.
Happy Birthday Greg!
