Most kids who’ve grown up in the horse industry go in one of two directions. They either rebel completely and want to try something new, like football or dance, or they’re all in, following in the footsteps of their horse-loving parents.
The Cook girls are definitely all in.
13-year-old Georgia, 10-year-old Isabella, and 8-year-old Elizabeth are the daughters of horse industry veterans, JR and Melissa Cook, and these three dynamic ladies are taking the AQHA youth scene by storm.

In the late ‘90s, Melissa showed notable horses like Zippos Outlaw, Christenonimpulse, and Make Me Shine. She and Zippos Outlaw were on the APHA Top 20 list many times and named World and Reserve World Champions in Youth Western Pleasure and Youth Horsemanship. With grandparents, Bob and Joyce Cassata, JR led Halter horses to many APHA World and Reserve Champion titles as well. He also enjoyed competing in NCHA Cutting in his youth.
