The Florida Paint Horse Club’s Memorial Day Mane Event is fast approaching and has plenty of exciting updates they would like to share with our readers. The show will consist of a four judge Paint/Pinto show May 24-25 and a two judge Paint Amateur/Youth show May 26th at the Florida State Fairgrounds in Tampa, Florida.
With a $400 flat fee, the show will include NSBA classes, saddle giveaways, Highpoint and circuit awards, and incredible prizes. Judges for the show will be Butch Carse, Laura Gilmer, Carrie Kessler, David Terrell, Richard Gahimer, and Helmet F. Lekschas.
Per FPHC Vice President Randall Roser, the current stall reservation count is at 240. Stall may still be reserved at www.floridapainthorseclub.com or by emailing rcroser@aol.com.
Companies like Harris Leather, McLelland’s Saddlery, SmartPak Equine, C.M. There will be a free Exhibitor’s BBQ on Sunday evening where chicken, pork, baked beans, cole slaw, potato salad, and bread will be served.
The Florida Paint Horse Club will be donating 100% of all proceeds from the All-Breed Walk Trot Western and English and All-Breed Schooling Western Pleasure and Hunter Under Saddle to APHA trainer Bear Smith, in order to help with medical bills from an equine-related accident she suffered in late 2013.
