Final Results and Photos from 2017 Breeders’ Halter Futurity
First place Amateur Senior Weanling Colt and Geldings and Grand Champion Amateur Stallion- Kaleena Weakley with Bad An Boujee

The 2017 Breeders’ Halter Futurity wrapped up over the weekend in Des Moines, Iowa, and thanks to the hard working show staff, we have complete results and photos, courtesy of bar H Photography, to share.
The trend of big classes sizes and stiff competition that began during the open classes last week continued with the amateur division over the weekend. Kaleena Weakley led Bad An Boujee to win a 28-entry Amateur Senior Weanling Colt and Geldings class. She was followed in Reserve by Jana Simons with El Futuro. Third place was Tammy Raak with Uploaded; this pair was the highest placing Owner/Breeder/Exhibitor team. Kaleena later went on to lead Bad An Boujee to win the Grand Champion Amateur Stallion title. The Reserve Amateur Grand Champion Stallion was Got My Ikes On, led by Adam Matthews.
Another impressive class was the Amateur Senior Weanling Fillies with 18 entries. This class was won by Amanda Wallinger with Cocco Chanel. The Reserve Champion was Rick Adam with Shez Priceles; this was also the highest placing OBE team. Rounding out the top three was another OBE, Kyle Parker with Cinderella Style. The Grand Champion Amateur Mare also happened to be the Youth Mares Champion, Dylan Madden with Shamles. The Reserve Champion was Ireland Cofrancesco with Stylin Secret. The Grand Champion Amateur Gelding was Uploaded, led by Tammy Raak. The Reserve Champion was Amy Jo Erhardt with Guns and Leather.
