Feeling Lucky? ILQHA Spring Fling to Award $15,000 in Slot Classes

The Illinois Quarter Horse Association and Gordvyille are excited to present The Spring Fling that kicks off March 16th-19th and will continue March 22nd- March 24th in Gifford, IL., providing AQHA exhibitors with 10 judges over the course of the seven day series.
Given that the show overlaps St. Patrick’s Day, some competitors might feel lucky enough to try their hand at competing in a number of slot classes that will present $15,000 in payouts. Classes include the $9,000 NSBA Green Western Pleasure with $1,500 Limited; $2,500 NSBA Green Trail, $3,000 NSBA Green Hunter Under Saddle, and $500 Showmanship.

In addition, there will be a $250 bonus presented to the highest placing non pro in each slot class. There are plenty of fun awards to be presented in slot classes as well, like custom chaps from Werner Custom Leather, SmartPak gift cards, handcrafted Original Leather Werks bag, Hannah Draughan Photography gift certificates, and more. The entry fee for Western Pleasure is $500; Green Hunter Under Saddle is $200, Green Trail is $200; and Showmanship is $50.
In regular AQHA classes, there will be circuit awards and All-Around awards in 11 divisions. Judges for the March 16-19 show will be Marilyn Randall, Brett Clark, Rick Baker, Kristy Starnes, Murray Griggs, and Jill Newcomb. Judges for the March 22-24 show will be Dean Ross, Tracy Willis, Randy Wilson, and Bennie Sargent.
