The Equine Chronicle is proud to partner with elite horse shows across the country to sponsor innovative classes that cater specifically to the needs of exhibitors in the horse industry of today.

In addition to events like the All American Quarter Horse Congress, APHA World Championship Show, AjPHA Youth World Championship Show, World Wide Paint Horse Congress, Silver Dollar Circuit, Arizona Sun Country Circuit, Big A and Stars and Stripes Circuit, Buckeye Classic, SOQHA Madness, Florida Gold and Gulf Coast, and countless others, we are proud to sponsor a new concept class at the upcoming March To The Arch Horse Show!

The 2016 MTTA will be held on brand new dates this year, March 24-27, at the National Equestrian Center in Lake St. Louis, Missouri. One of the highlighted events on the schedule (in addition to the always entertaining “Ladies/Men” Western Pleasure) will be the Equine Chronicle $10,000 Novice Non Pro Western Pleasure.

With the expansion of AQHA Leveling and the increasing popularity of the AQHA Novice Championship Program and APHA Regional Championship Program, it’s become very clear that the true-blue novice riders make up an important segment of the industry. Following in that vein, wouldn’t it be nice if there were an opportunity for novice riders to earn a big paycheck in a futurity-style class, just like  other non-pro and open riders?

Well, if you’re a novice competitor and can fit a $300 entry fee into your horse show budget, you can’t afford not to attend the 2016 March To The Arch horse show to compete in the Equine Chronicle $10,000 Novice Non Pro Western Pleasure!

Originally set with a $1,000 entry fee, riders are showing considerable interest in this class. However, many novice riders expressed trepidation because the entry fee is a big investment. Therefore, in an effort to draw in even more true novice competitors, the NEW entry fee is now $300, but the best part is that the $10,000 purse has stayed the same!

This is an all-breed class that’s not NSBA approved, but will be paid out on the NSBA scale. If you qualify as a novice or level 1 rider within your respective breed association, you are eligible for this class. No ownership permits will be allowed. Regular horse ownership requirements must be met. Enter the day of the horse show to compete in this class.

It is the hope that the decrease in the entry fee will encourage more true novice riders to participate.
