Eight Horses Die in KY Barn Fire, Loss May Force Owner to Leave Horse Industry

A Feb. 9 barn fire at Equine Integrated Medicine veterinary clinic near Georgetown, Ky., has killed eight horses.
Clara Fenger, DVM, PhD, Dipl. ACVIM, the facility’s owner, said Feb. 9 the cause of the fire is unknown. An investigator was scheduled to examine the property the afternoon of Feb. 9.
