Colleen Ebner of Langley, British Columbia, has established a whole new way of going green in the show world, as her most recent trail course, deemed “Wedding Trail,” was decorated with leftover flowers from her daughter’s wedding.
She originally started creating elaborate trail courses for her boarders, who all show AQHA and APHA, and now, it’s a tradition, she explains. “I do one every other month from spring through to fall,” she says. “Some are more elaborate than others depending on the season. I know it’s crazy but it’s really fun and my horses are scared of nothing and rock the trail courses!”
Readers also might notice a theme woven throughout the courses – her signature icon, flamingos. As one can see, she has done everything from a construction zone to a memorial course for a horse that had been ridden on all her courses.
You go, Colleen! Thanks for the dose of fun for trail junkies, and watch out, Man of Trail! She’s good!
