“Coming into Thanksgiving week I have SO much to be thankful for!” says Gloria Alvarez, who explains she’s met many amazing, talented and supportive people in the horse show world. “This season I am eternally grateful for my horse Tyler. He has been an amazing teacher to me for almost six years now. This year we attended the Pinto World Show for the first time, something I never thought we would do!”
When she brought Tyler home in 2018, he got out in the middle of the night and was hit by a truck, she explains, and she was devastated but thankful he was alive – but certainly not sure if they’d ever show. “Fast forward six years we’ve accomplished so much from the 4H fair to competing at the highest level. He truly is a wonder horse!! I’m forever grateful for all that he’s taught me and the success we’ve achieved together, there will never be another horse like him!”
Thank you to Gloria for sending this photo in response to our mission to celebrate gratefulness this week!
Gloria’s emotional win photo from last year’s Color Breed Congress struck a chord with our readers, too. See it here: EC Photo of the Day – Last One Standing | Equine Chronicle
