PHJ press release by: Kelsey Ritchie
The paint is put away, the brushes are cleaned and the winners of the 2015 AjPHA Great Paint Brush-Off have been announced.
The Great Paint Brush-Off allows Youth members to show off their skills in a variety of artwork, from watercolor paintings to charcoal drawings to ink sketches. The contest has only two requirements: the contestants must be AjPHA members, and the artwork must somehow be related to Paint Horses.
The contestants are divided into three different age divisions: 9 and under, 10-14 and 15-18. Winning artwork will be spotlighted at the AjPHA Youth World Championship Show in Fort Worth, Texas, June 23–July 4 and then displayed at the APHA headquarters for the next year. Winners receive $100, and second-place finishers receive $75.
