Congratulations is in order for a few of our good friends following their wedding over Memorial Day weekend in Colorado! Natalia DeVencenty and Jeff Runyan were married in an intimate ceremony that included their closest horse show friends and family. An elaborate reception was held in Natalia’s parents’ airplane hangar, which was especially fitting, since both Natalia and Jeff are pilots.
Natalia gave us a little insight into the big day, including the design of that fabulous dress that was inspired by her show outfit. “My dress color was inspired by the gold show shirt I wear. The beading and detail had to outdo any show clothes I have worn, so the task wasn’t easy! I found the designer, Angela Kim, in North Carolina, and she made my vision come to life!”
“Of course, my horse, Moonie, had to come along as well and strut his stuff! What horse girl doesn’t have her horse at their wedding? The reception venue was extra fun because with COVID we didn’t know where we’d be in May, so we decided to convert my parent’s airplane hanger into the reception venue! Statis Events turned it into a wisteria wonderland with a cake swing and chandelier to match. My dad built the frame and used a 1,500 pound wench to hoist it to the ceiling after they decorated it.”
“Of course, to top it all off my bridal party consisted of my mom, my family, and my closest horse show besties I couldn’t live without. Secretly I wanted to ride down the aisle on Moonie, but they told me I couldn’t do that.”
