To be considered for the Club of Distinction award, clubs must have previously reached Gold Star status and demonstrate the qualities of a premier regional club—outstanding promotion and public service to Paint Horses and their supporters. This dedication can be shown through fundraisers, benefits, social gatherings, Youth activities and special promotions while encouraging community service.
“Recognizing clubs on a national level is an integral part of APHA’s drive to focus on its members,” Regional Club Manager Julie Haney said. “Our goals as an association are to reward excellence and highlight the amazing membership we have.”
APHA also recognized Indiana Paint Horse Club and Paint Horse Club Germany as new Gold Star Clubs for 2015. Gold Star clubs offer a variety of activities and are active in their communities, as well as hosting trail rides and promotional events. Gold Star status must be renewed every five years.
