Color Choice Futurity Announces Breeder’s Celebration Location and NEW $25K Added 2-Year-Old Western Pleasure

The Color Choice Futurity is a performance program for “eligible” horses sired by enrolled stallions to vie for a portion of the total purse in classes aimed at Longe Line, Western Pleasure, and Hunter Under Saddle prospects. “We’re pleased to have our Breeder’s Celebration held once again in conjunction with the Color Breed Congress hosted by the Pinto Horse Association, Nov. 1-9, in Tulsa, Oklahoma,” said Jennifer Sheriff.

The Color Choice Futurity offers Longe Line, Two-Year-Old and Three-Year-Old classes, both Open and Non Pro divisions in Western Pleasure and Hunter Under Saddle, with additional bonuses and prizes at the Breeder’s Celebration. New to the Color Choice Futurity this year, is the Two-Year-Old $25k added Elite Western Pleasure Class with Limited Rider and Maiden Horse bonuses.

“After discussions with Color Breed stallion owners, trainers, and foal owners, we decided to offer $25,000 added to the open Two-Year-Old Western Pleasure. We want to have a program where the Color Breed horse can win a significant amount of money, while rewarding the stallion owners and breeders. We are rewarding the Stallion Owners, as these programs are not viable without their support, therefore, the new Two-Year-Old $25K Elite Western Pleasure class will pay the following: 80% of the earnings will go to the owner at the time of the class and 20% will go to the Stallion Nominator,” said Sheriff.

The Color Choice Futurity is open to APHA, ApHC, ABRA, AQHA, IBHA, PHBA, stallions to enroll. All yearlings, two-year-olds and three-year-olds sired by enrolled stallions will be eligible to show at the CCF Breeder’s Celebration and events in 2019.

The Color Choice Futurity is also offering Bonus Buck$ for horses nominated to the CCF program show at the APHA World Championship Show in September in Ft. Worth, Texas and showing at the CCF Breeder’s Celebration. Details on the CCF Bonus Buck$ progam can be found on the website.

The Color Choice Futurity classes are strictly designed for Color Breed horses, and are required to be registered with one of the following associations; *APHA, ApHC, ABRA, IBHA & PHBA. *APHA horses must have one APHA regular registry parent.
