Winter weather conditions have contributed to an interesting story coming out of Somers Township, WI this week. Local news station, Fox 6, has been reporting on a situation involving a pair of horses, a group of concerned citizens, and an owner seeking temporary restraining orders.
The Kenosha County Sheriff’s office has been busy fielding numerous complaints about two horses that members of the public believe are being mistreated. According to the piece from Fox 6 News, both deputies and a large animal veterinarian have confirmed that the horses have blankets, food, a heated water trough, and adequate shelter. Still, certain individuals have attempted to enter the property to feed the horses, and the owner has received threatening phone calls, thus the seeking of temporary restraining orders.
