Changes Made to APHA Executive Committee Nominee Roster

In 2014, the Executive Nominating Committee sent forward two individuals for consideration for the Sixth Committee Member position of the 2015 APHA Executive Committee. APHA National Directors are scheduled to vote on the position on March 2 at the 2015 APHA Convention in Fort Worth, Texas. Their 2015 nominees were Casey West of Abilene, Kansas, and Kevin Smith of Magnolia, Texas.
After consideration with his family, nominee Kevin Smith has withdrawn his bid for the Sixth Committee Member position of the APHA Executive Committee.
“I am very thankful to each [National Director] for the consideration and support of me in the nomination and electoral process, and look forward to a future opportunity to be considered again for nomination. I look forward to seeing you at Convention,” Kevin said.
The Nominating Committee’s remaining candidate, Casey West, will remain on the ballot for the Sixth Committee Member job. Meet Casey and hear his ideas for the association here. As always, nominations from the floor will also be accepted.
