No, this isn’t an early February Fool’s Day joke… According to a piece posted yesterday by USA Today Sports, one of the most decorated men’s skiers in US history might consider a career in horse training when he retires from the sport.

Lifelong horseman Bobby Kerr will headline a unique first-time event Saturday, March 22, 2014 at the Will Rogers Equestrian Center in Fort Worth Texas. Joined by international stars Jerry Diaz and Dan James, “A Night with Bobby Kerr and Friends,” will present a night of horsemanship, live music, and pure entertainment unlike any other equestrian performance.

The United States team of Brianne Goutal, Laura Kraut, Beezie Madden and McLain Ward will be a force to be reckoned with, as they proudly represent all of us on the international stage. All proceeds will go towards the Show Jumping High Performance program and the 2014 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in Normandy, France.

This foal, in particular, is very special because it represents the first successful pregnancy by Penn Vet using the advanced reproductive technique intracytoplasmic sperm injection, known as ICSI, which involves injecting a single sperm into a mature egg.
