The Clydesdale Breeders of the U.S.A. has announced its highest selling Clydesdale ever at the National Clydesdale Sale. The 6-year old gelding sold for $60,000, topping the previous sale record of $40,000 in 2006.

The fabric is textured much like a golf ball with dimpling that moves air across it with minimal resistance. Thoroughbred race horses can reach speeds of up to 40 miles per hour and Quarter Horses can reach top speeds of 55 miles per hour, so drag is as important in horse racing as it is in auto racing or cycling.

“Dibbs” is an AQHA/APHA bay overo colt by One N Only and out of My Zippos Dirty, a daughter of The Ultimate Fancy. He is proudly owned by Cross Creek Farm, Tim and Dana Crager of Flemingsburg, KY.

The National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) congratulates its newest Two Million Dollar Rider, Mandy McCutcheon, for unofficially becoming the first non pro and first female rider to earn the designation. Most recently McCutcheon won her sixth National Reining Breeders Classic (NRBC) Non Pro Championship and earned reserve champion honors at the Kentucky Reining Cup.

“I love [the team aspect]. It makes every win that much more rewarding because whenever I do well, I’m not just doing well for myself, I’m doing well for the 70 girls on my team,” Finsness said.

Look who got hitched! Sarah Hall Photography was kind enough to send us a few photos from DeDe [Baxley] Lanoue and Jamie Lanoue’s big day on Saturday, April 26th, 2014. The pair were married at 6:30 pm at David and Angie Wilson’s home in Magnolia, Texas. The Wilson family are clients of the newlyweds.

William Fox-Pitt (GBR) riding Bay My Hero, Sunday 27 April 2014, won the 2014 Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event, with Lauren Kieffer (USA) riding Veronica in 2nd place, and Bruce (Buck) Davidson Jr. (USA) riding Ballynoe Castle RM in 3rd place, in Lexington.
