We received the most adorable video from an Equine Chronicle reader. It features the daughter of horse trainer Joe Engle and Mandi Knowles grooming multiple AQHA World and Congress Champion Halter horse, RPL My Te Cheerful. Apparently, she’s getting “Henry” fancy for the contest.”

We would like to congratulate our friends and APHA horse trainers, Jeffery and Jenna Gibbs, following the birth of their first son, Jackson Adam Gibbs. Jackson was born at 3:10 pm on May 10th, 2016 weighing eight pounds three ounces and measuring 21.75 inches long.

The technique uses a simple rope harness to gently squeeze the foal and mimic the pressure normally experienced in the birth canal. To recreate that pressure, Dr. Madigan and his team developed a method for wrapping a foal’s upper torso with several loops of a soft rope, creating a temporary harness. When pressure is applied with the rope, creating a gentle squeeze, the foal lies down and appears to be asleep.

Family friendly after-hours social and sporting events have become a hallmark of the WEC. Once the horses are back in their stalls, rings transform into beach soccer, volleyball or dodge ball courts. Popular movies headline Drive-In Movie nights where families can park golf carts full of kids and dogs to watch movies and enjoy freshly popped corn and snacks.
