IEA Continues Partnership With Bob’s Custom Saddles

The Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) is pleased to announce the continuation of its partnership with Bob’s Custom Saddles. Since 2018, Bob’s Custom Saddles, the Official Western Saddle of the IEA, has provided educational tools for IEA riders in addition to prizes for the IEA online Horsemanship Program, IEA Semi-Finals and IEA Western National Finals.

SmartPak is donating $5 of every purchase to the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH), to give back to the horses that give so much. The company is also donating 50 3-packs to Ebony Horsewomen Inc., which provides equine assisted therapy and therapeutic riding to kids and families within the city of Hartford, CT.

A Valued Partnership- QH Congress and Rod’s

Rod’s first store at the Congress was in the late ’70s, and it started as a 10 x 20 booth. At that time the Congress only lasted about ten days or two weeks. Over the years, our space and our partnership with OQHA and the Congress grew steadily. In the early 80’s Rod’s jumped at the opportunity to move into the SE corner of Congress Hall and continued to add space, including a connected tent outside the east wall. And as things changed, down the south wall, more space was added to create the current L-shaped store. During that time, Rod’s became the first retail Corporate Sponsor and increased the support of the show contributing cash and awards and the Judges and VIP sportscoats they wear every day.

A favorite All American Quarter Horse Congress memory of Michele’s is her very first Congress. She didn’t know what to expect, but Nicole Giumenti gave her the confidence to compete at a top-level. Michele and her 2-year-old, King James, placed in the Top Five in the 2 Year Old Futurity classes. “It was incredible,” Michele said. “This Congress will always hold a special place in my heart. The following year we had to put King James down. I’m thankful today for all the memories of the greatest horse I’ve ever owned.”
