While many were enjoying BBQs, boat rides, and camping trips this past Memorial Day weekend, others headed to a number of multi breed horse shows held across the country. The Missouri QHA hosted their Memorial Day celebration at the Gateway Classic, May 23-26, in Lake St. Louis. Judges for the show were Sissy Anderson, Nancy-Sue Ryan, Brent Maxwell, GiGi Bailey, Terry Cross, and Larry Hansch.

The Amateur Level 1 Champion was Samantha Floyd with Dark By Moonlite. Reserve was Megan Avidano with Only A Show Off. The Amateur Champion was Lauren Stanley with Extremely Good Stuff. Reserve was Amy Groefsema with My Dream Remembered. The Select Champion was Dan Yeager with Cracking The Code. Reserve was Kent Ray Taylor with Don’t Think Twice. The Super Select Champion was Kathy Tobin with RA Undisputed. Reserve was Stephanie Anderson with Sol De Conquistador. 

An Equine Production reports that the traditionally huge show was even larger this year with an almost 500 entry increase.

Robin Barrow and Heza Blazin Machine were named the Open Champions. The Level 1/Novice Amateur Champion was Monica Parker Yeoman with Lil Lucky Decision. The Amateur Champion was Robin Barrow with Heza Blazin Machine.
