AQHA competitors were met with a big ole’ dose of Texas hospitality when they attended the Athens Summer Jubilee July 8-12 in Athens, Texas.

There was a Team Tournament at the event, and the results are as follows. Team 1 was the winning team with a total of 47 points. They each won a leather halter from Mane Stream Saddlery. Team members were Kim Best, Laura Salome, Ryan Ventura, and Maggie Garwood. Team 3 came in second place with 45 points.

Now that competitions are starting to resume in certain states, exhibitors in the Midwest were excited to get back to their old stomping grounds at Gordyville in Illinois for the Illinois Paint Horse Association’s Firecracker Classic. True to the show’s name, the event took place July 2-3 over Fourth of July weekend. 

The Big A & Stars N Stripes has officially concluded, and An Equine Production show management reports recording a whopping 21,000+ total entries across all divisions with AQHA entires totaling more than 19,000 during the dual event that took place June 26-28 and June 30-July 5.
