Kober says that although he’s never had a bad ride on Ellen, today’s performance was definitely his favorite. It also probably didn’t hurt that he was competing for a share of a $26,000 purse. His $9,000 winner’s check will sit proudly in front of Rusty Green Show Horses stalls in addition to the flowered neck wreath and champion saddle that were won in the class this evening.

Yesterday, horses and riders representing multiple breed associations came together to compete in the Reichert Equine Foundation All Breed Youth Team Tournament. All youth exhibitors, regardless of breed affiliation, were invited to participate in a fun competition intended to promote goodwill and camaraderie as well as the chance to win some scholarship money and incredible prizes!

During the last week, the Farnam Select All-Around Amateur contenders competed in a variety of events throughout the American Quarter Horse Association’s 2013 Adequan Select World Championship Show.
