The NCHA’s World Championship Futurity has long served as a “must see” in horse sports and 2013 will be no exception. More than 2,000 3-year-old future stars will vie for a chance at the $4 million purse during the event’s 24-day run, which began November 21st in Fort Worth, Texas.

The RHSF “A Slide to Remember” includes celebrity guests, representatives of the NRHA Hall of Fame, cross-over riders from other equestrian disciplines, Freestyle reiners, as well as Oklahoma City area firefighters and police officers.

New opportunities brought an increase in entries over the 2012 Open/Amateur World Show. When the dust settled and the final champion was named, the show had 935 horses with a total of 2,583 entries. Forty-two states, Mexico and Canada were represented.

The Built Ford Tough Livestock Complex in Tulsa, Okla. played host to over 1,000 exhibitors, almost 750 horses, and nearly 3,400 class entries. Exhibitors and horses represented 34 states and two countries.
