The championships are for NRHA members and horses that have qualified through their respective Regional Affiliate Finals. Each finals sends its eight highest placing riders, plus ties, to the Adequan NAAC to compete for North American bragging rights.

There will be six sets of points, a flat rate fee, and NSBA futurity classes. Judges will include John Boxell, David Denniston, Jill Newcomb, Cal Gomes, Lynda Danielson, and Mike Hawkins.

Cowboy mounted shooting is a relatively new AQHA event. The first AQHA cowboy mounted shooting points were earned in 2011, and the event’s first AQHA world champions were crowned in March 2012.
