Rule change proposals must be postmarked by August 1, and received at the APHA office no later than August 15. All proposals will be reviewed by the Rules Committee followed by the Executive Committee, who considers the overall impact of the proposal and decides to advance or cancel the proposal.

Wednesday kicked off the annual Novice show with over 300 entries. Tuesday evening, Professional Horseman and AQHA judge Jonathan Meilleur provided a free Trail clinic for exhibitors. Thursday through Sunday was a full AQHA show with 105 classes.

Because the decision to offer these seven classes was made so late in the World Show qualifying period, the Executive Committee agreed to waive qualifying requirements for horses entering these events. However, if exhibitors also wish to enter additional classes—beyond the seven noted above—they will be subject to the existing qualifying requirements, which includes showing at a minimum of four APHA-approved events and to at least eight judges between August 1, 2013, and July 31, 2014.
