Continue reading …“We have found, and several committees and councils have discussed, the need to have more information and background knowledge on items they are considering,” said AQHA Executive Vice President Don Treadway Jr. “While we will still accept agenda items until December 31, to be more efficient and democratic, we are encouraging members to be more proactive and submit their items by September 30. Hopefully, in future years, this can become the actual deadline, as we work toward enhancing our rule-making process.”

Participating breeds include: the Pinto Horse Association, Palomino Horse Breeders of America, American Buckskin Registry Association and Appaloosa Horse Club. In addition to the four breeds represented at the show, horses from the following breeds or divisions can compete: Solid Palomino Bred, Solid-Paint Bred, Buckskins and Solid Pintos.

Continue reading …For the second year in a row, the Farnam Select All-Around Amateur is Linda Coakley of Clearlake, Washington. Coakley showed Patsys Royal Secret, who is a 2000 brown gelding. Patsys Royal Secret, who is by Make My Grey and out of Patsys Chic, was bred by Patricia Sowell of Sacramento, California. Coakley and Patsys Royal Secret earned 49 points in three classes, winning reserve world champion titles in showmanship, horsemanship and hunt seat equitation.
