The 2014 NSBA World Championship Show kicks off today, August 11 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and will continue through August 17th. Judges for the event will be Sissy Anderson, John Briggs, Tonya Brown, Casey Devitt, Tim Finkenbinder, Buddy Fisher, Cindy Hale, Mike Hay, Steve Heckaman, Suzy Jeane, Bill Kaven, Stephanie Lynn, Clay MacLeod, Cynthia Rucker, Teresa Sullivan, Terry Thomson, and Randy Wilson.
Continue reading …“With the decline in the Breeders’ Trust payouts per point in recent years, APHA was charged with finding an alternative funding method to keep the program strong,” Director of Breeders’ Trust Steven Imhof said. “This is a way for the horse owner to contribute to the program much like the stallion owner and foal nominator already do. The owner receives 70 percent of the payout, so it seems logical for them to also contribute.”

We watched as competitors were instructed to trot to an orange cone placed in the corner of the warm-up pen, trot around the cone, and return to the stewards.
