They hailed from Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Slovakia, Sweden and Switzerland; the hometown crowd from Germany fielded the greatest number of horses. German Paints also claimed the greatest number of medals, taking home 37 golds, 25 silvers and 23 bronzes.

The FHMHS provides a time to reflect, a time to visit with old friends, a time to educate young people about the history of the equine industry and those who have supported it. Most of all, the FHMHS is a time to remember the more than 70 horsemen and women who have been honored at this event over the last four years.

Each barn served a dish of their choice, ranging from Janssen Training Stables’ Pork Tamales and Koneche Performance Horses’ Nacho Bar to Jon Barry Training Stables’ Cookie and Cupcake Bar.

Both clubs have partnered to offer the Run For The Border Saddle Series. In order to have the chance to win a western work saddle, competitors must show at both two-judge shows. High Point Novice Youth, Novice Amateur, Youth 18 and under, Amateur 19-44, Amateur 45 and Over, and Open Horse will receive saddles, and special prizes will be awarded through third place.
