He then focused on reining horses, qualified for the National Reining Horse Association Futurity finals for the first time in 1976, and won the event in 1977 on Spanish Mountain.

The Zoetis VRH World entries are due to AQHA no later than Monday, February 16. The John Deere CMS World Show entries are due in the Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association office no later than Friday, February 13.
