One of the show’s youngest Midwest champions was Stratton Ferson of Denver, Iowa; he took home the Midwest Paint Horse Champion buckle in Youth Mares with WR Ima Timely Review, a 2010 palomino overo mare. The young horseman is in his first year of showing and was thrilled to receive the champion title with “Paige.”

Continue reading …After scoring an impressive 224 and tying the current leader Franco Bertolani and Inferno Sixty Six, the riders decided to run off for the championship keeping the crowd very anxious. Loping in first was Bertolani and Inferno Sixty Six, owned by Slide Or Die LLC, scoring 223.5. Deary and Shesouttayourleage, owned by Robert Curtis, entered the arena for the second time, and after receiving a score of 224.5, history was made – Casey Deary became the 2015 NRHA Lucas Oil Open Level 4 Futurity Champion!
