The Appaloosa Museum is a repository of Native American, early settler artifacts from throughout the Northwest and holds the history of the Appaloosa horse including historic artifacts from the Appaloosa Horse Club. Located in the heart of Palouse Country, visitors come from all over the world to see and enjoy the heritage of the horse named for the region.

Qualifying for the APHA World Show isn’t hard—simply compete at a minimum of four approved events under eight judges, and your horse is qualified to compete in ANY class and eligible division at the APHA World Show, which takes place November 2–12, 2016.

Due to the high demand for ranch horse classes at this show, Ranch Horse Conformation and Ranch Trail have been added for youth, amateur and open exhibitors. In addition, a Ranch Horse clinic is slated for Friday, taught by AQHA Team Wrangler Professional Horseman, Marty Simper.

When the Adequan® Level 2 championship classes launched at the 2015 Lucas Oil AQHA World Championship Show in Oklahoma City, their debut was met with enthusiasm from exhibitors, owners and professionals. In fact, the addition of the Adequan® Level 2 classes increased Lucas Oil World entries by 32 percent over the previous year.

Sponsored by Blue Ribbon Custom Tack and produced by the Arizona Paint Horse Association and Arizona Appaloosa Association, this show will include two sets of points over two days. Judges will be Mark McCarthy, Curt Summers, Dan Mannion, and Doug LaSota.

“We are so proud to have the opportunity to honor these leaders in our industry,” APHA Director of Judges Dave Dellin said. “They all have shown the character, commitment and discipline to blaze a path in judging that the rest of us are following.”

In addition to a full line-up of classes, AQHA, APHA, ApHC, or any NSBA approved breed will be welcome. The event will also include a two judge APHA, ApHC show.

The tentative schedule for the 2016 Built Ford Tough AQHYA World Championship Show is now available online. The event slated for August 5-13 at State Fair Park in Oklahoma City features the world’s top youth riders and their American Quarter Horses.
